I have just been made aware of a garnishment to my paycheck for what SSA calls an "overpayment". Apparently, I "owe" them over 8 thousand dollars. I had tried to report my wages when I first started my job almost years ago, and they have no record of it. Today, I talked to the most inept and worthless SSA representative, and when I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was denied.
I cannot believe that it is this difficult to change my status, and it seems sometimes that all they want to to is collect money and not give a crap about the financial situations of any of the beneficiaries.
Apparently, we're just a number to them.
